Therapy Beyond the Binary

Returning to You

Psychotherapist providing support to queer and gender diverse teens and adults navigating anxiety, OCD, and disordered eating; in-person in Los Angeles and virtual throughout California.

It's been tough to move through life and do the things you need to do without feeling exhausted. Who can think about work, school, or showing up the way they want to in their life when your worries and thoughts are this unrelenting?

You’ve been spending more and more of your time feeling worried or anxious, with racing, repetitive, incessant thoughts. You're getting to a point where you're even worrying about when the next anxiety attack might occur, and you feel like you're throwing all of your energy at trying to keep the worries at bay. You've had a desire to make all these thoughts disappear, but you can't seem to shake them.

You look in the mirror and all you can see are the parts of you that send your body image into a tailspin, or bring an onslaught of gender dysphoria. You're fixating on food and exercise so you can feel a sense of control when everything else in life feels hopelessly out of control. An invite to lunch from a friend or dinner with family begins to feel anxiety-provoking; you feel stuck between the constant thoughts about managing food and diet and the rest of your life. At the same time, you're not sure how to move forward.

I'm here to help. I'm a psychotherapist based in Los Angeles, California who helps teens and adults struggling with excessive worries, anxiety, body image, and disordered eating. Let’s get you back to you.
